Te Mana O Te Moana

Richard Bailey, President of Pacific Beachcomber, is also a founding member of Te Mana O Te Moana (literally, “the Spirit of the Ocean”), a Tahiti-based nonprofit organization devoted to the protection of marine wildlife—particularly the green sea turtle. Te Mana O Te Moana also works closely with local authorities on a variety of youth-oriented educational and public outreach programs.

Te Mana O Te Moana collaborates with our team in setting up preservation programs in all the group’s hotels. In addition, it is closely associated with the Tetiaroa project, which monitors the impact of our work on the environment and its future impact on structures on the atoll.
